Had to go to Anchorage for work this morning, and got caught in the nasty Alaska Airlines computer debacle. Sprint (apparently Alaska’s network supplier) had a fiber cut in Wisconsin, which brought down all Alaska Airlines’ computer systems nationwide (at 66 locations, I believe they said) for five hours. Guess when it happened? Nine minutes before my flight was to depart from Seattle. After all of us had boarded. It was a long morning. The good news is that we made it, and it isn’t raining. It’s dark and cloudy and chilly, but at least it’s not raining. These three photos were taken about halfway between Ketchikan and Anchorage. Maybe a little more than halfway, but close. Pretty. Not the kind of terrain (or weather) I enjoy flying over in anything smaller than a 737.
