Fuel System

I was starting to get kind of sick of wiring.  There’s well north of 500ft of wire in the plane already, with a fair amount left to go.  Today I ran the fuel lines from the wings down to the pumps.  They’re not all hooked up, but at least all of the holes are there.  I need to install a half dozen or so Adel clamps to lock everything down tight; that’s on the agenda for tomorrow.  I also have to figure out how to get from 3/8″ to 5/16″.  The factory-supplied fuel system is all 3/8″ hose.  The header tank, filters, fuel pumps, and engine are all 5/16″.  So I have to adapt the 3/8″ lines coming down from the wings to 5/16″ before they feed into the pre-filters in front of the header tank.  It’s time for a trip to West Coast Marine, I guess.
