KPAE Vintage Aircraft Weekend

The reason I didn’t get much work done on the plane last weekend is because it was the annual Vintage Aircraft Weekend at Paine Field.  It was a little disappointing that the Me-262 wasn’t there this year, but it was otherwise pretty cool.  Above is the B-25 (Grumpy) and a P-51D in formation flight.  Always cool.  Below is Bad Kitty (F-7F) starting the big radials.

The also had a Bearcat up for a while.  Fantastically cool airplane.  As much engine as they could possibly stuff into the smallest airframe that could hold it.  They must be a blast to fly.

Here’s a spectacular Spitfire Mk IX (my favorite model).  Below that, a peek at the panel.

This is fun.  An airworthy DC-2.  I’m not sure how many of these are left, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the last airworthy example in the world.

And last, but most certainly not least, John Marzulli was there with his super-cool CH-701.
